tsukiyono omi: spoilers

first of all, tsukiyono omi is not his real name. it was the name given to him by persia when he rescued omi, but we'll get into that later. his real name is takatori mamoru. yes, that's right. our sweet, precious omi is a takatori, much to ran's chagrin when he found out. but not to worry; ran forgave him and found he couldn't hate omi even if he was a takatori. what was the line? "you're not a takatori; you're tsukiyono omi. never forget that." heee~ ran-kun couldn't hate our beloved omi, even after discovering he was a takatori. kawaii desu ne~~ ^.^

okay, so onto his past. as i already stated, he was indeed a takatori, meaning he grew up with his father and brothers. his brothers, by the way, never hated him. they never knew how or why he went away; they assumed he died. they hold no hatred or bitterness towards him and love him as any brother would. just because they're sick, demented bastards doesn't mean they don't love their brother. ^.^;

anyway, so omi was kidnapped by a random gang, who then phoned his father and said that unless he paid some unholy amount of money, they'd rape, then kill the kid. after getting off the phone with his father, the men approached the boy and gave him a very crooked smile, informing him that his father had opted not to pay the ransom. the 12 year old, unable to comprehend why his father would abandon him, sat there, crying and screaming, feeling entirely helpless.

then, the man known as persia entered, saving omi and making him into the boy we all know as tsukiyono omi, a name given to him by persia, and recruiting him as the first member of what would later become known as weiß.

but.... why did his father abandon him? and why did persia save him?

his father abandoned him because he knew the truth about the child. he wasn't really tatatori's son. he was indeed a takatori, just not his son. his brother and his wife had an affair before she was forced to marry him, and it continued in secret after they were married. omi was conceived of his brother and his wife, and because of this he couldn't stand to look at the child. 

so... who was his brother? 

persia. persia is takatori's brother, and thereby a takatori himself. and although he never told omi this, omi's real father. both takatori and persia died without ever telling omi who his real father was, so omi continues thinking that the takatori whom ran ran's sister over is indeed his father.
